Feel the energy of the drum and the pleasure of playing West African rhythms. Aimed at people with prior experience of hand-drumming, these workshops will take your experience and understanding of rhythm further. Learn more complex rhythms, play a range of instruments, improve your drumming technique - and above all, have fun!

The best way to really develop your drumming skills. Individual and small group sessions in djembe and doundoun (playing traditional Mandinka rhythms) or kpanlogo, gankogui, brekete etc. (playing Ga and Ashanti rhythms from Ghana) or the little-known, but very exciting, stick-and-hand sabar drumming, from the Wolof people of Senegambia. Contact us for more info.

Workshops for groups of individuals, companies, organizations, arranged to your requirements. The main emphasis of the workshops is on fun and learning; additionally, they can be tailored to focus on making music, or on African culture, the dynamics of co-operation, developing physical co-ordination, and creative and therapeutic expression.
